Hold on to Each Other

I have been around long enough to consider myself an old-hippie - although barely and talk about flower power, peace and unconditional love. I believe in being kind and giving a leg up to my fellow humans and I believe that we are called to WAKE the hell up to what is going on in the dark and around the corner where we can’t quite see. We need to pay attention to what is going on behind the scenes at the national level and we definitely need to pay attention during this election season and PROJECT 2025. Please click on the hyperlink to see what is going on.

We, you, me, your family, neighbors and people on both sides of the political isle need to pay serious attention to the freedoms we have enjoyed in this country – no not everyone, but the threat of losing many of the rights that we now enjoy are hiding in the shadows of the intentions of a number of right-winged, Christian Nationalists efforts. There is a movie on Prime which you might want to watch, it is called BAD FAITH. It costs .99 to rent, a tiny price to pay to be informed. Women’s rights are threatened from abortion rights to sex education. Rights for our LGBTQ family are threatened with more than 400 bills across the country waiting to be passed. And there are even bills to ban DEI programs which would clearly empower the people of color in our country. We are a hot mess.

But this is not the time to put your head in the sand or to deny what is happening. This is the time to band together, to gather peacefully, to have non-violent conversations, to practice curiosity, to make amends, and to clean up as many of your relationships as you can. Why? Because it all starts right where you are. It begins with you and with me. Not everyone feels equipped to march or write letters to Congress, but we are all equipped to LOVE, because we are born of love and love has kept us alive till now.

Now here is the old-hippie in me, lets be part of the solution, let’s up the energy of our country beginning right where we are!

Here are a few suggestions to alter the energy in purely an energetic and spiritual way. Have fun:

1. First, start by upping your self-love and acceptance, be kind first to yourself.

2. Continue by watching your mind, your judgments, and how you access the world around you.

3. Practice forgiveness and make amends wherever necessary.

4. Practice mindfulness and meditation.

5. Practice gratitude and send out thank you cards. Make an effort.

6. Spend more time with family and friends – avoid rough conversations.

7. Stop watching sensational news – watch from more deliberate and responsible sources.

8. Scroll right past all fake news and attention getting reels and social media posts.

9. Pray. Pray. Pray. Pray for Oneness, wisdom, kindness, and a profound shift of attention in this country.

10. And let’s take back the acronym MAGA so when you see it, you think of: Magnify All Goodness & Abundance. Burn this into your brain so every time you see MAGA, you steal the energy away what it means now.

We need each other, we really do, let’s hold onto each other – in an out loud way, let’s care in ways that inspire.
