Forgiveness and Love

Rev. Dr. Michelle Wadleigh

An authentically empowered person is one who forgives. Forgiveness is not a moral issue. It is an energy dynamic. Forgiveness means that you do not carry the baggage of an experience. When you choose not to forgive, the experience that you do not forgive sticks with you. When you choose not to forgive, it is like agreeing to wear dark, gruesome sunglasses that distort everything. Forgiveness means that you do not hold others responsible for your experiences. When you hold someone responsible for what you experience, you lose power. When you forgive you release critical judgement of yourself as well as of others. You lighten up."

- Gary Zukav, The Seat of the Soul

THERE IS NO PRIVATE GOOD. Any conversation about forgiveness needs to include the reminder that it is not a selfless action or a selfish action. It is both, and. You can only love and forgive another to the degree that you love and forgive yourself.

All your self-contemplation, self-forgiveness, and self-care immediately impacts all those around you because the energetic space that you contain becomes healthier. And since there is no “you” and “me” as separate entities, your good is my good, my good is your good. And the same can be said for the pain and suffering of our planet. If you listen closely enough and tune-in, you will recognize the pain which is hovering just under the surface. This is motivation to proceed with your own healing work.

Choosing forgiveness and love as cornerstones of your life means you know that you are one with all and as you clean up these energetic spaces, the whole world shifts. The more you heal, love, forgive, the more you become an agent of positive and powerful transformation for all. The power of forgiveness and love is extraordinary.

Forgiving as a regular spiritual practice frees you from pain that you are aware of and pain which hovers under the surface. Your freedom depends upon your practice of forgiveness. Forgiving, which leads to clearing out the toxic places within, makes room for an abundance of love, health, and wealth.

Forgive to thrive. Forgive to expand. Forgive to be a part of the healing.
The key is in your hands. You got this!

Join us in the powerful journey of forgiveness.
